BASF SE will grant a licence to Jackon GmbH for the production and sale of non-flame retardant Lowla®
BASF SE, being the pioneer in introduction of a new era in high insulation value products through the well reputed brand Neopor®, and Jackon GmbH have entered into an agreement on production and sale of Lowla® (a low lambda expandable polystyrene) by Jackon at the plant site at Wismar, Germany:
BASF SE will grant a licence to Jackon GmbH for the production and sale of non-flame retardant Lowla®.
BASF and Jackon state that the agreement will foster the high quality in the European market of expandable polystyrene with superior insulation performance being beneficial for both industry and environment.

BASF SE hat der Jackon GmbH eine Lizenz zur Produktion und zum Vertrieb von nicht-flammgeschützten Lowla® erteilt.
BASF und Jackon sehen in dieser Vereinbarung eine Stärkung des europäischen Marktes für EPS-Produkte mit ausgezeichneter Dämmleistung, die vorteilhaft sowohl für die Industrie als auch für die Umwelt ist.

Energy price for EPS insulation boards produced with LOWLA L11
JACKON SUPER EPS produced by Jackon AS, has been nominated to receive the Energy Price at TUN2010. TUN2010 is the most important construction exhibition in Scandinavia taking place from 16-19 March 2010, representing more than 300 producers of building materials for environmental efficient and sustainable construction.
The Energy Price is awarded to a producer who has developed a documentable construction part/component or material that provides increases energy efficiency.

LOWLA L11 is the secret behind the superior insulation performance of JACKON SUPER EPS. The graphite content in combination with a new production technology, increases the insulation performance by 20% compared to regular Styrofoam.

Jackon GmbH was formed in 1999 in Wismar, Germany, with the purpose of producing expandable polystyrene (EPS) and speciality polymers. Being the most recent addition to European EPS production capacity, state-of-the-art technology is used to produce EPS targeting the high end shape moulding and block moulding applications. Jackocell® EPS is today established as a recognized brand name in the European EPS industry, and available in a broad product selection of most bead sizes. Our location at the shores of the Baltic Sea, offers not only easy access to West- & Central European markets, but also opportunity to capitalize on the fast growing East European markets.
